Dear Retail Establishment,

Newtown Borough has created an online survey to gather feedback from retail establishments about Ordinance #799 which will prohibit single-use plastic bags starting September 17, 2024.

The survey can be completed here. Participation in this survey is voluntary, and all information will remain anonymous. Please complete the survey by Friday, September 6, 2024.

Recently an information letter was mailed to all businesses along with one flyer that could be used as the required signage to display. Additional information is available on the Borough website.

The Borough hopes all businesses will complete the survey to provide feedback the Borough can use to help retail establishments. The Borough also plans to distribute a post-implementation survey.
