Newtown Borough
E-News Update

Hello, All!

Newtown Borough has rescheduled its annual street sweeping to Wednesday, May 22nd and May 23rd. We would greatly appreciate if everyone would move their vehicles off the street so we can clear away as much debris as possible. If any further changes are required, they will be posted in our website News. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.

Please look out for our Spring Newsletter that will be arriving in all borough mailboxes in mid-May. This next issue includes changes to property tax rebates administered by the PA Dept. of Revenue and Council Rock School District, a QR code connecting to FAQs regarding the Single-Use Plastics Ordinance, an updated Borough Directory and Points of Interest Map, news from our committees, and much more.

The month of May is never complete without the annual Memorial Day Parade, sponsored by American Legion-Morell Smith Post 440. Please see here for the parade route and details, including the annual Vintage Baseball game to follow.

Our website calendar continues to be your best resource to find the dates, times, and other important information regarding Borough Council and Committees of Council meetings. As a reminder, Council Work Sessions are held at Borough Hall. The monthly Council Meetings take place at the Chancellor Center and are livestreamed on YouTube. Borough Council will meet this month on May 8th and May 14th. Our website homepage is where you'll find the latest updates on Borough news and events.

We are pleased and grateful to inform you that there are only a handful of vacancies on our committees, commissions, and boards. Please click 2024 Volunteer Opportunities to see what remains.

If you have friends and neighbors in the Borough who may also be interested in staying informed, please forward the email and encourage them to sign up for E-News Alerts too.

Best regards,

Newtown Borough Mayor & Council
