We hope that you have been enjoying Spring and your Summer is off to a great start as well!

On Tuesday, June 13th, Kris Bauman was unanimously appointed to fill the Borough Council vacancy in Ward 1 through the end of this year. Our sincere thanks goes out to all who offered to serve our community as members of Newtown Borough Council.

There are just a few days left to take the pedestrian safety and walkability study! If you haven't done so already, please do so by June 30th when the survey officially ends.

For those interested in an update on a single trash hauler, note that a discussion will take place at the July 5th Work Session. Our website calendar continues to be your best resource to find the dates, times, and other important information regarding Borough Council and Committees of Council meetings. As a reminder, Council Work Sessions are held at Borough Hall. The monthly Council Meetings take place at the Chancellor Center and are livestreamed on YouTube. The meeting agendas are posted as well if you're interested in keeping up to date on pending projects and other matters being considered by Borough Committees, Boards and Council.

The calendar is also where you'll see upcoming special events. There are many in the planning stages and we hope you find some of interest to you!
