Happy and Healthy 2023 to All!

Our website calendar continues to be your best resource to find the dates, times, and other important information regarding Borough Council and Committees of Council meetings, as well as the many special events taking place in Newtown Borough! As a reminder, Council Work Sessions are held at Borough Hall. The monthly Council Meetings take place at the Chancellor Center (with the exception of this month's January 10, 2023 meeting) and are livestreamed on YouTube.

Of particular interest (in this and upcoming months) is the consideration of the Steeple View Phase 2 project. Again, by reviewing our website calendar for meeting times and agendas, you can stay informed about this development.

Thank you to those who volunteer their time and talent for the betterment of our borough! We were very happy to reappoint six committee members last month, and have eleven applications to consider at this month's meetings! Check back by clicking 2023 Volunteer Opportunities if you're interested in filling a vacancy that remains following our January 10th appointments.

With the beginning of a new year, parking permits expire and replacements are available! Please see 2023 Parking Permit Regulations for details.

For nearly 20 years, you may have seen Ron Fesmire out and about maintaining our parks and picking up the trash from the Borough receptacles. Sadly for us, he has retired. We wish him the best of luck, and please join us in welcoming Scott McIlvaine and his team to the Borough.
