Newtown Borough
E-News Update

Dear All,

And just like that, there is a change of seasons and we turn our attention to Fall activities such as the Newtown Library 5K followed by Market Day this Saturday, October 1st! Please make sure to check the website calendar for details on the special events being planned for your enjoyment.

Borough Council unanimously voted for the return of Barry Isett & Associates as the Zoning & Code Enforcement Officer/HARB Administrator at last month's Council Meeting. Their contact information and office hours can be found on our Permits & Forms page.

With the unfortunate acceptance of Council President Susan Turner's resignation, Borough Council will be interviewing candidates at the October Work Session and appointing a new Councilor at the October Council Meeting. Please see our website calendar for candidates' names, meeting times, locations, online accessibility, agendas, etc.

Republic Services customers have been notified this week that they will be discontinuing trash removal services beginning on October 30, 2022. For contact information to subscribe to one of the remaining 3 residential haulers, please see https://www.boroughofnewtown.com/services.

If you have a neighbor who may also be interested in staying informed, please forward this email and encourage them to sign up for these monthly E-News Alerts too.

Please see Volunteers Needed if you've been considering getting more involved in Newtown Borough!

Best regards,

Newtown Borough Mayor & Council
