Hello, month of June! Hoping summer starts off well for everyone!

The Pride flag was raised at Borough Hall on June 1 in celebration of Pride Month, when we recognize the diversity of the LGBTQI+ community within Newtown Borough. Our community is stronger when all people are fully recognized as equal members of society.

Thank you to all who moved their vehicles to allow for a successful street sweeping last month. There were 27 cubic yards of debris removed from our streets which exceeded the amount from last year. This all contributes to our ongoing efforts to keep yard waste out of the Newtown Creek as required by the Department of Environmental Protection.

Borough Council Work Sessions have returned to Borough Hall with a 5:30pm start time, and we offer the option to participate via Zoom. Work Sessions occur the Wednesday before our monthly Council Meetings which are held at the Chancellor Center on the second Tuesday of each month at 7:00pm. Council Meetings can be viewed through our YouTube Channel. As a reminder, you can always visit the Borough Website Calendar to see what's on the agenda.
